KrishnaVibes – Virtual Meeting via Zoom
What is Zoom?
Zoom is a cloud service that allows you to hold a virtual meeting. It is as if you are all sitting together around a large table, but through the internet.
You do need at least a microphone and speakers connected to your PC, Mac, Chromebook, laptop, or tablet, and optionally a webcam if you want to use video.
On a Chromebook, laptop, or iPad these are usually already built in, just like on a mobile phone.
A session via Zoom can take place either individually or in a group.
Joining a Zoom Meeting via an Invitation from KrishnaVibes
1. Open the Invitation
* Check your email or message from KrishnaVibes where you received the invitation.
* Look for a link that starts with "zoom.us/join".
2. Click on the Link
* Click on the link in the invitation.
* This will take you directly to the Zoom meeting.
3. Install Zoom (if necessary)
* If you haven’t installed Zoom-Eng yet, you will be prompted to do so.
* Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install Zoom-Eng.
* Once Zoom-Eng is installed, the meeting will open automatically.
4. Enter Your Name
* If you do not have a Zoom-Eng account, you will be asked to enter your name.
* This is the name that other participants will see in the meeting.
5. Allow Access (if prompted)
* Zoom may ask for access to your microphone and camera.
* Click Allow or Yes, depending on the prompt.
6. Wait to Be Admitted by the Host
* In some cases, the host of the meeting needs to admit you.
*Wait patiently.
7. Join the Meeting
* Once you are admitted, you can see and hear the other participants in the meeting.
* Turn your microphone and camera on or off using the buttons at the bottom of the screen, if needed.
